A little about me...
I grew up in Bellingham, WA...I have one sister, Sara, and I couldn't have asked for someone better. She wants to be an aid worker for UNHCR. I went to college at the University of Washington and majored in physics and astronomy. Why, well I guess I'm still asking myself that question! Since, now I'm at UCLA getting a phd in space physics...hmmm, okay you're right I didn't want to get a REAL job. I'm not sure I actually believe in them:) I'm about 4 quarters out from my phd and i love what i do! But that doesn't mean all i do is work...Here's a link to my public pictures...

Hobbies...
• I love to travel! I've never been to Asia and certainly never as far as SpaceShipOne...yes we went up to the Mojave to watch it go into space (the first private-venture attempt and WIN at the X-Prize). I've been to Australia, Amsterdam, Italy (Florence, Perugia, Assisi, Naples and Rome), France (Paris), Mexico (Acapulco), Alaska (Barrow, AK...I don't recommend it! too cold!), and all over the US. Currently we are planning on traveling to Japan and China in the early Spring. My cousin is living in Japan (just landed as of September 3!) and we'll travel around with her to Kyoto, Osaka and Toyko. Then we'll fly over to Beijing and see the great wall and hopefully we'll fly over to Tibet! After that it's Egypt. Which if you know me at all, then you know I am a huge archaeology buff!
• I love to go dancing! I was learning to salsa and LA is a great place for salsa clubs, but I'm just too busy working right now.
• Snowboarding...okay so not the best sport for socal. I miss Baker more than words can describe! I'm sorry but there are NO mountains here, maybe a couple hills, but no mountains! Alas, the winter of 2007/2008 I'm so all about getting up to the hills. As luck would have if my wonderful boyfriend lives in San Fran area, which means Tahoe!
• Ancient history and modern european history...yes you read correctly, no need to clean your contacts. My mom used to drag my sister and I around to all these musuems when we were kids and our bedtime stories were always something like so Czar Nicholaus and his family...blah blah...and the ancient egyptians...blah blah...you get the picture. Now my sister wants to be an egyptologist (or an aid worker). I'm seriously fascinated with ancient history with my specific favorite subject being ancient Eqypt. My most fav pharoah, oh yea...AKHENATON and his queen Nefertiti. More to come on that subject later...the news here is that my most wonderful boyfriend gave me a brillant birthday present of a subscription to Archaeology Magazine.
• Of course I love fashion and shopping! What girl who lives in LA doesn't??? thats what I want to know:) there's everything here...I love it!
