The normal modes for SO3 depicted here were calculated at the Hartree-Fock level using the 6-311+G* basis set.  The listed frequencies are based on spectroscopic measurements corrected for anharmonicity  (Dorney et al., 1973, J. Mol. Spectrosc. 45:253-260).
