I am a solar astrophysicist. I am currently focused on the interpretation of the solar dynamo from the observational point of view. This research topic started with the large scale, long-lived coronal streamers which are evident on the so-called Coronal Limb Synoptic Maps. Using these maps, sunspot active longitudes can be established on the sun for a duration of 5 years. Apart from the solar research, I collaborate with David Jewitt to study the asteroid and comet using solar spacecraft data. I am also interested in the relationship between the solar wind and geosynchronous energetic particles.
